Negeri Serumpun sebalai which means unity and harmony is also poured out in the customs and culture of planting Sahang or Pepper. Bangka has long been formed and become a strong area thanks to Pepper. The many infrastructure developments and prosperity of each region are contributed from agricultural products. Located in the southern part of the Bangka Islands, Nyelanding is an area far from the coast so that the majority of people work as farmers with the main commodities of pepper and palm oil. Interestingly, this area is famous for its Nyelanding hot spring tourism with folk tales making it a legacy of ancestors that brings diversity to the Nyelanding region.
May 2024 to the end of 2025 officially operating in 4th place out of 10 Spicehubs in the Bangka Belitung Islands. The role and responsibility as a Facilitator is to distribute knowledge to align views on cultivation techniques, a forum for discussion with direct interaction to discuss all problems and interesting findings in the field, monitoring and assistance in the field to ensure proper implementation, and being a bridge for wider market access in buying and selling pepper. 103 local residents have become part of the fostered farmers. Currently, Nursery and Compost communal have been formed which are active in production for commodity resilience and independence of agricultural inputs. The spirit and hope that continue to be utilized to realize sustainable agriculture. In the future, great potential wants to continue to be explored for food security, farmer welfare and regional economic growth.
