Spice Hub Bantan, Belitung, acts as a center for farmer development and pepper trading. As a Branch Facilitator, I lead various initiatives to empower local farmers, who are predominantly engaged in pepper and oil palm cultivation, through training programs and market access support.
The uniqueness of this region lies not only in its strong agricultural foundation, but also in its deep social culture, which encourages a spirit of mutual cooperation and community resilience. In addition, this region has potential for land that has not been optimally utilized, which is suitable for the development of new high-value commodities. Our goal is to explore this potential while respecting local wisdom in order to encourage sustainable rural development.
